Transporting students safely and with integrity
Your students are our top priority. We make sure our bus drivers are set up for success, before getting behind the wheel. In order to work for Coherent, drivers are required to go through a comprehensive screening process including: type III school bus training, annual criminal background checks, behind the wheel evaluations, first aid training, and more.
Training
To ensure the safety of our drivers and students, we have a safety director who oversees safety and training. We also offer paid training for commercial driver’s licenses, approved through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
CDL Training
No Problem.
When you join the Coherent Bus Company team, you’ll receive 44 complimentary hours of in-class training to receive your Commercial Driver’s License. Once your in-class hours are completed, our in-house safety director will put you behind the wheel and train you how to drive our buses. Then, she’ll schedule you for a Commercial Driver’s License test, and you’ll be ready to safely transport our students!
